Weathered Resilience

the river Feshie in Spring

At the end of a busy, fulfilling week, it’s great to recharge the batteries in nature.

Walking around Glen Feshie, we revisited the Frank Bruce Sculpture Trail, where each piece is intended to withstand the Highland climate without cosmetic alterations, until it breaks and dissolves into the soil where it stands.

Like so many people I know and have met in the past year, these pieces show there is something special about watching human resilience over time. We may start to look weathered, yet inside the spirit still beats strongly.

What have you learnt from your own, or others’ resilience in the past year?
