Peace at Lochan Uaine

Lochan Uaine in the spring

We all like a bit of peace, don’t we? Peace comes in different ways to us; a long stay in bed, a spot of quiet reflection, immersing ourselves in music, being in a noisy crowd. It’s often a state of mind we can access anywhere, anytime we choose.

Our peace today was a walk in the Glenmore Forest to Lochan Uaine (Green Lochan). Legend says the water is green because the fairies wash their clothes in it.

A lovely two-hour walk, with the contrasting peace of Metallica accompanying the drive home.

I wish peace on all, particularly those for whom peace is denied, or those who struggle to let it into their lives.

What are your ideas of peace and how committed are you to giving yourself peace in the coming weeks?
