Normal is What’s in Front of You

In a conversation two months ago about life in general, I heard this lovely sentence Normal is what’s in front of you. It really resonated with me.

The last two years, while very challenging, have provided an opportunity for a reset, a chance to do more of what I want to do, rather than what I’m ‘supposed’ to do.

I’ve always enjoyed virtual delivery. It’s fast, interactive, practical and time-efficient for clients and learners. For me, it also gives the added bonus of being at home, plus more time for family and playing music, which is harder to do when you’re on the road.

What’s in front of me? I’m hoping for even more virtual work, more time in nature with my dearest, like we had today. Maybe the novelty of travelling and meeting people in person again?

Normal is what’s in front of you. Put what you want in there. If you don’t, there are plenty of people who want to do it for you. It’s yours, not theirs.
