castle Eilein in Loch an Eilein in early Spring

I worked yesterday and took today off.

Now, there are many who frown at the idea of working at the weekend and taking a weekday off.

There’s a logical reason for my decision. The forecast for yesterday was for poor weather. Today’s was better. So I worked yesterday when I could get on with it, and we had a day out today, in better weather and more quiet surroundings.

A big benefit of working for yourself is the freedom it can give you, if you choose to take it.

With the increase in flexible working, this freedom can open up for more of us. We can do more of what we want, when we want. This freedom could help us improve our organisational and prioritisation skills. There can be, if we choose it, more purpose to our life inside and outside work.

Whatever you choose, make the most of the time you can control. Use the freedom you have.
